Density Test

O: 2/X-2/GTK/11

Objective:
This test is intended to determine the density of soil samples.

Equipment:
  1. Ring
  2. Calliper
  3. Balance
Procedure:
  1. Pray before starting practice
  2. Clean the ring weight will be used.
  3. Weigh a ring (W.1)
  4. Measure the inside diameter and height by using a shove, calculate its volume (V).
  5. Enter a soil sample into the ring
  6. Flatten the surface of the ground on each end of the ring with a knife cutter.
  7. Weigh ring and Soil (W.2)
  8. Pray after completion

Reporting of The Result:

The density of soil:
Density = W3/V
An average of three determinations sholud be taken
A sample calculation is shown above

Maintenance:
Clean the ring and callpier after the experimen is finished
